Drawing on both her recent dissertation work, as well as the experience in engaging in intentional climate work in her current school, Mistie will share experiences of those who have led in equity as a way to highlight conditions for success. In addition, she will share strategies (including sharing artifacts) to create and foster the conditions for the psychological trust and safety necessary to build a climate to engage in equity and inclusion work. These strategies will be rooted in the Theory U framework. Lastly, participants will be given time to reflect on the status of their own climates and how they might be empowered to transform it.
