'24 MSAA Summer Institute

We have been successful in applying for a Barr foundation grant and it has helped us to redesign what teaching and learning means at our school.
Specifically, I can talk through the process of using distributed leadership as a way to help create and foster a positive culture and climate for students and staff alike. Specifically, I can talk through the structures used to create and use a daily advisory class for SEL. I can also talk through how this structure has helped students and teachers with a shift towards competency based education and has set us up for student-led-conferences as a way for students to take more ownership of their learning.
Additionally, I can talk through how we have built this as a way to create cohesion and deeper rigor in the classroom and how the ILT and other teachers are empowered to help with this.
