'24 MSAA Summer Institute

When we create spaces for students and colleagues to grab the mic they might just create mic drop moments and knock it out of the park.  We all know when students and colleagues have the opportunity to share, lead, and offer their contributions, it changes the energy in the room. This session will focus on that energy.  Come learn how launching and organizing unique assemblies centered on staff and student stories has increased empathy, connection, and humanity within a school culture.  With themes around showing up for each other and sharing who we are beyond the surface, you will witness the courage that illuminates from the stage to the audience within seconds.  Through videos, testimonials, and "meeting" a few students and educators virtually, you will walk away inspired to take a chance in empowering members of your school community to create their own mic drop moments to positively impact your school.
