Anyone working in education today knows that school behavior is a major concern.  One solution is to provide broader leadership opportunities for students.  There are many ways to do this from the whole school level to the classroom level.  This presentation will dig into some exciting ways to offer leadership opportunities at the various levels. When students have an opportunity to lead, they feel a strong sense of ownership over their learning and feel a deep sense of connection to the school environment.  This strengthens school culture and reduces behavior issues. Research also shows that students are more likely to take feedback from a peer rather than an adult.  This is another huge benefit to having students take on leadership roles. Let's be sure we are providing ample leadership opportunities in order to teach the leaders of tomorrow!
